FreeHand's Funeral

Adobe's acquisition of Macromedia also cast doubt on the future of FreeHand, primarily because of Adobe's competing Illustrator product. Adobe initially announced in May 2006 that it planned to continue to support FreeHand and develop it "based on [their] customers' needs".[1] However, one year later on May 15, 2007, Adobe declared that it would in fact discontinue development and support of the program.[2]

Its sad to learn that Adobe soon after acquiring Macromedia has started shunning there simple, beautiful, user-friendly and light weighted products as a friend of mine bought Adobe CS3 Collection and didn't find FreeHand in there nor is mentioned on adobe.com

So I think FreeHand has died before reaching CS2 or CS3 Upgrades, instead we are provided with a hard to learn tutorial on How to switch from Freehand to Illustrator! Amazing

Also I learned that Macromedia's nice, easy to use/ understand/ search, comprehensive, user-friendly and Highly Detailed Help Documents are also replaced by Not so easy ... Help that opens in a separate window and gives us an option to search all adobe softwares at once, while we just want to search a keyword in Photoshop for instance! Amazing 2 :(

Please any Free / Open Source Software developers do something like FreeHand. or Anyone please buy back Macromedia from Adobe.

I love Macromedia. They were like Google; open, user-friendly, wanted there softwares to be easy and easily learned through there comprehensive help system. I like this kind of a company. I use to hate Photoshop Help System and NOW it has become a standard help system at Adobe. Amazing3 :(

Addiction of a new era

After I got a gmail account (that was almost 3 months ago), I started visiting gmail help discussion forum in google groups (though still in beta but better) in order to get more comfortable with gmailing. Believe me I have never found such helpfull, courtiuos and really nice people, who love to help and share with others. Not just help they are infact a Hijack-posts group there, you post something stupid or like and they sure going to take it out of your hands till nobody will ever remember who and why posted it. They are a group inside the group, the G.H.D.A's. Beware! They have an association now.

Urdu Moot @ Islamabad

Opening today at the National Library of Pakistan Auditorium, Islamabad first-ever "International Urdu Conference". Pakistan, with Urdu recogonised, not implemented as yet, as a national language, is one of the 19 countries widely read, speak and understand it. Hope that Pakistani government would take some essential steps towards bringing it's status up to a national language, implementing it officially. Now the increase in Urdu blogging has shown once again, Arabic has already been there in computers for some times, its potential to be digit-able language.

Shabina Begum; jazaak Allahul khyr

Finally after three years of of tiresome battle 16 years old Shabina Begum has won the right (in a woman right concious and so-called civilised society) to wear jilbab (a head to toe dress muslim woman wears); a very basic (article 2 & 18) human right for anyone devoted to and willing to actually practising ones religion. Contrary to what French Republic has dictated, British Monarch seems to be more passionate towards religious outlook of its minorities, which is a healthy sign emerging in (and in a sense better for) Europe.

no E Jordan from CNN

see what a single TRUTH may leads to.
He believed that several journalists who were killed by coalition forces in Iraq had been targeted...

after saying that, he has to retort back to
... accidentally killed journalists
and then to "... those killed because they were shot at by American forces who mistook them for the enemy" that finally lead to his "quitting to avoid CNN being "unfairly tarnished" by the controversy" Read the rest here
